Inconel 601 is a popular nickel-chromium superalloy that is used for a number of applications that require resistance to heat and corrosion. Prime characteristics of Inconel 601

Corrosion resistance

Inconel 601 is typically not strengthened with the help of heat treatments.  However, broad ranges of hardness and strength can be achieved with the alloy through the combination of annealing and cold work treatments. Machining and welding
