Hastelloy Flanges
Midland Alloys Inc. is a reputable Indian manufacturer and international supplier of Hastelloy Flanges, providing long-lasting solutions for high-temperature and corrosive pipe systems. These Hastelloy UNS N10276 are made from high-quality nickel-based alloys that are resistant to harsh chemicals, like N06022, B2, and B3. We manufacture it in accordance with ASTM B564 and ASME SB564 guidelines. They come in a variety of forms, including threaded, blind, weld neck, socket weld, and slip-on flanges. We offer flange finishes such as mill finish, machined, rough turned and custom-coated surfaces. Hastelloy DIN 2.4610 flat flanges provide exceptional value across demanding sectors. Their material properties and precision build ensure dependable performance in extreme environments.
Key Benefits of Hastelloy Flanges
Hastelloy flanges offer long-term value in harsh operating conditions. They are a reliable option for process critical systems, because of their strength and chemical composition.
- Superior corrosion resistance: Withstands strong acids, chlorides and oxidizing agents without pitting or cracking.
- High-temperature strength: Performs reliably in elevated temperatures found in power and chemical plants.
- Excellent mechanical durability: Maintains structural integrity under stress and fluctuating pressure.
- Leak-free sealing: Engineered design ensures tight connections that eliminate leakage risks.
- Low maintenance needs: Long service life reduces repair frequency and system downtime.

Difference Between Hastelloy Flanges and Stainless Steel Flanges
Hastelloy flanges are more corrosion resistant than stainless steel flanges, particularly in strong chemical conditions such as hydrochloric, and sulfuric acid exposure. While stainless steel flanges such as SS 316 may perform well in mild conditions, Hastelloy alloys, particularly UNS N10276 and N06022, withstand more aggressive chemicals, crevice corrosion and high heat. Mechanically, Hastelloy flanges show higher tensile strength and stability at elevated temperatures. Hastelloy costs more because of its nickel-rich composition, but it has a longer service life and requires fewer replacements in critical applications.

Applications of Hastelloy Flanges
Hastelloy flanges serve an important role in industries that require chemical resistance, and thermal stability. In chemical processing facilities, they link pipelines that move acids, solvents and reactive chemicals. They are used in oil and gas refineries for important flow systems where resistance to high pressure is crucial. Pharmaceutical industries rely on their non-reactive nature to maintain purity in manufacturing lines. In power generation facilities, they handle thermal cycling and pressure variations. Hastelloy flanges guarantee performance, and safety even in aircraft applications when subjected to high mechanical stress and harsh atmospheric conditions.

FAQs
Hastelloy flanges are available in pressure classes ranging from Class 150 to Class 2500, depending on the type and standard, including ANSI B16.5 and B16.47.
Hastelloy flanges can be welded to other compatible metals using proper filler materials, but dissimilar metal welding should be handled by trained professionals to avoid galvanic corrosion.
Most Hastelloy grades, including UNS N10276 and N06022, are non-magnetic when annealed, making them appropriate for sensitive equipment and instruments.
