Midland Alloys Inc. is a trusted Indian manufacturer and global supplier of Inconel Flanges, known for delivering reliable solutions for demanding industrial conditions. These flanges are made from Inconel, a high-performance nickel-chromium alloy designed to withstand extreme heat, pressure, and corrosion. In applications where stainless steel or carbon steel might fail, Inconel remains stable and effective. Among the different grades we provide are Inconel 600, Inconel 625, Inconel 718 and Inconel 800, all of which are known for their excellent mechanical performance. These flanges are valued for their outstanding tensile strength, elongation, and resistance to scaling and oxidation at elevated temperatures. Being one of Mumbai’s top manufacturers of Inconel flanges, we offer an extensive range of DIN 2.4856 Inconel Weld Neck Flanges, that are manufactured in accordance with international standards. Each product is meticulously designed to function dependably in sectors, where durability and safety are essential.

Benefits of Inconel Flanges

Inconel Flanges are selected for their excellent capability to function in harsh environments. Their special alloy composition makes, them suitable for harsh conditions, and high temperature applications.
  • Withstand high pressure and temperatures without weakening
  • Excellent corrosion protection, oxidation and scaling resistance
  • Operate efficiently under cryogenic and high temperatures
  • High tensile strength with excellent fatigue life
  • Easy to fabricate, and weld for personalized designs
  • Extended lifespan, with minimal upkeep
  • Spark-resistant and non-magnetic
  • Strong defense against chloride stress cracking and carburization
Inconel Flanges Specification
Difference Between Inconel Flanges and Stainless Steel Flanges
The material composition and performance are where the primary differences can be found. While Inconel is primarily a nickel-based alloy with additional elements like molybdenum and chromium for better resistance, stainless steel usually contains iron, chromium, and nickel. Even at high temperatures more than 600°C where stainless steel tends to deteriorate, Inconel flanges maintain their mechanical strength. As these flanges can tolerate harsh chemicals and oxidizing atmospheres, inconel flanges are suitable to use in chemical processing, aerospace and marine systems. Although Inconel is expenses than stainless steel, but it is more durable and resistant in adverse conditions.

Types of Inconel Flanges

Manufacturing Types

  • SORF (Slip-On Raised Face)
    SORF (Slip-On Raised Face)

Slides over the pipe and gets welded for easy installation in low-pressure systems.

  • BLRF (Blind Raised Face)
    BLRF (Blind Raised Face)

Closes off pipe ends; used for testing or sealing flow in a system.

  • SWRF (Socket Weld Raised Face)
    SWRF (Socket Weld Raised Face)

Pipe fits into a recessed area and is welded around the edge. Ideal for small-bore, high-pressure lines.

  • WNRF (Weld Neck Raised Face)
    WNRF (Weld Neck Raised Face)

Has a long, tapered hub and welds to the pipe for strong, leak-proof joints under high pressure.

Face Forms

  • Raised Face (RF)
    Raised Face (RF)

The most common type has a raised surface that improves gasket sealing in medium to high pressure.

  • Ring Type Joint (RTJ)
    Ring Type Joint (RTJ)

Uses a metal ring for sealing and works well in high-pressure, high-temperature services.

  • Flat Face (FF)
    Flat Face (FF)

Flat surface flange used with cast iron or low-pressure piping where full face gasket is needed.

  • Lap-Joint Face (LJF)
    Lap-Joint Face (LJF)

Used with stub ends and are easy to align and install. Good for systems that need frequent dismantling.

Applications of Inconel Flanges

Inconel Flanges provide superior strength, and corrosion resistance, which makes them a must in applications where high performance against pressure is a main concern. In the oil and gas sector, they are used in offshore platforms, sour gas systems and heat exchangers. Aerospace applications include turbine exhausts, propulsion systems, and engine components. Power generation facilities depend on Inconel flanges for steam lines, boiler systems, and nuclear reactors. In chemical processing, they are utilized for handling hostile chemicals in acid-making units, reaction vessels, and high-purity systems. These flanges are perfect for seawater piping and equipment in marine environments due to their exceptional resistance to chloride-induced corrosion. They further facilitate sanitary and corrosion-resistant piping in the pharmaceutical and food industries, while the pulp and paper industries use them in digesters and bleaching systems that are exposed to corrosive chemicals
