Manufacturing Process of Monel K500 Pipes

The production of Monel K500 Pipes starts with the selection of high-purity raw materials, which includes  mainly nickel, copper, aluminum and titanium.  These raw materials are heated and alloyed in electrical furnaces to produce ingots, or billets. The billets are hot, or cold-formed into pipe shapes by extrusion or rolling. After forming, the pipes undergoes solution annealing and age-hardening to meet the required strength and mechanical qualities.  Finishing on the surface is done using pickling or polishing, depending on use. Lastly  all pipes go through intense dimensional inspections, hydrostatic testing, and non-destructive testing in order to meet standards and customer requirements.
